A nonprofit for curious hands

Every girl deserves a hands-on STEM moment.

MS. stem runs free, hands-on after-school STEM workshops for middle school girls — mentor-led, girl-only, and built to reach classrooms and community centers around the world.

Our mission
"Making hands-on STEM experiences accessible to middle school girls around the world."
— that's the whole plan, and we mean every word of it.
What we run

Free workshops, and everything a new chapter needs to start one.

01

After-School Workshops

Free, once-a-month, mentor-led sessions run with local partner schools and community centers, girl-only by design.

02

Workshop Activity Plans

A detailed library of workshop ideas for chapter heads — each one with step-by-step instructions and the "why" behind it, so a brand-new chapter can run a great session on day one.

Why hands-on matters

Reading about a circuit and building one are not the same lesson.

100%
free — every workshop is offered at no cost to the girls or their schools
Ages 11–14
the exact window where girls' confidence in STEM starts to drift — so it's our whole focus
Girl-led
every workshop is mentored by women and older girls already working in STEM
Volunteer-run
every chapter is opened and led by local volunteers, using our free workshop activity plans and training
Around the world

Wherever there's a table, we can set up a workshop.
